Our mission is to provide a community and marketplace where experienced people can connect with those that are curious to learn and extend the “buddy” methodology to everybody. To aid in advancing this mission, we provide the following services:
Community
A place for you to connect with others that want to learn or teach.
Marketplace
A place for you to establish your own store and sell your teaching services to other learners. This is optional and can be created once registered as a member of the community.
Learning place
A place for you to take courses and learn together with other people in a social setting.
You may use the Services only if you agree to form a binding contract with BuddyAmp and are not a person barred from receiving services under the laws of the applicable jurisdiction. In any case, you must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. You are accepting these Terms and using the Services as an individual. No other company, organisation, association, government, or other legal entity, is permitted to create an account, unless express written permission is provided and the nature of such a setup is agreed. Should you be permitted, you represent and warrant that you are authorised to do so and have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms, in which case the words “you” and “your” as used in these Terms shall refer to such entity.
Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle the information you provide to us when you use our Services. You understand that through your use of the Services you consent to the collection and use (as set forth in the Privacy Policy) of this information, including the transfer of this information to Australia and/or other countries for storage, processing and use by BuddyAmp and its affiliates.
We want people to use BuddyAmp to make meaningful connections and to share learnings that is important to them, but not at the expense of the safety and well-being of others or the integrity of our community. You therefore agree not to engage in the conduct described below (or to facilitate or support others in doing so):
We can remove or restrict access to content that is in violation of these provisions. If we remove content that you have shared in violation of our Terms of Service, we’ll let you know and explain any options you have to request another review, unless you seriously or repeatedly violate these Terms or if doing so may expose us or others to legal liability; harm our community of users; compromise or interfere with the integrity or operation of any of our services, systems or Services; where we are restricted due to technical limitations; or where we are prohibited from doing so for legal reasons. To help support our community, we encourage you to report content or conduct that you believe violates your rights (including intellectual property rights) or our terms and policies. We also can remove or restrict access to your content, services or information if we determine that doing so is reasonably necessary to avoid or mitigate adverse legal or regulatory impacts to BuddyAmp and its affiliates.
You are responsible for your use of the Services and for any Content you provide, including compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. You should only provide Content that you are comfortable sharing with others.
Any use or reliance on any Content or materials posted via the Services or obtained by you through the Services is at your own risk. We do not endorse, support, represent or guarantee the completeness, truthfulness, accuracy, or reliability of any Content or communications posted via the Services or endorse any opinions expressed via the Services. You understand that by using the Services, you may be exposed to Content that might be offensive, harmful, inaccurate or otherwise inappropriate, or in some cases, postings that have been mislabeled or are otherwise deceptive. All Content is the sole responsibility of the person who originated such Content. We may not monitor or control the Content posted via the Services and, we cannot take responsibility for such Content.
You retain your rights to any Content you submit, post or display on or through the Services. Some content that you share or upload, such as photos or videos, may be protected by intellectual property laws. You own the intellectual property rights (things such as copyright or trademarks) in any such content that you create and share on BuddyAmp.
However, to provide our services, we need you to give us some legal permissions to use this content. This is solely for the purposes of providing and improving our Services.
By submitting, posting or displaying Content on or through the Services, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence (with the right to sublicence) to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, display and distribute such Content in any and all media or distribution methods now known or later developed (for clarity, these rights include, for example, curating, transforming, and translating). This licence authorises us to make your Content available to the rest of the world and to let others do the same. You agree that this licence includes the right to provide, promote, and improve the Services and to make Content submitted to or through the Services available to other companies, organizations or individuals for the syndication, broadcast, distribution, promotion or publication of such Content on other media and services, subject to our terms and conditions for such Content use. Such additional uses is made with no compensation paid to you with respect to the Content that you submit, post, transmit or otherwise make available through the Services as the use of the Services by you is hereby agreed as being sufficient compensation for the Content and grant of rights herein.
You represent and warrant that you have, or have obtained, all rights, licences, consents, permissions, power and/or authority necessary to grant the rights granted herein for any Content that you submit, post or display on or through the Services. You agree that such Content will not contain material subject to copyright or other proprietary rights, unless you have necessary permission or are otherwise legally entitled to post the material and to grant BuddyAmp and its affiliates the licence described above.
Your access to and use of the Services or any Content are at your own risk. You understand and agree that the Services are provided to you on an “as is” and “as available” basis. BuddyAmp refers to itself, its parent company, affiliate entities, officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives and partners.
Without limiting the foregoing, to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, BuddyAmp disclaims all warranties and conditions, whether express or implied, of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. BuddyAmp makes no warranty or representation and disclaims all responsibility and liability for: (i) the completeness, accuracy, availability, timeliness, security or reliability of the Services or any Content; (ii) any harm to your computer system, loss of data, or other harm that results from your access to or use of the Services or any Content; (iii) the deletion of, or the failure to store or to transmit, any Content and other communications maintained by the Services; and (iv) whether the Services will meet your requirements or be available on an uninterrupted, secure, or error-free basis. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from BuddyAmp or through the Services, will create any warranty or representation not expressly made herein.
We do not control or direct what people and others do or say, and we are not responsible for their actions or conduct (whether online or offline) or any content that they share (including offensive, inappropriate, obscene, unlawful and other objectionable content). We cannot predict when issues may arise with our Services. Accordingly, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and under no circumstances will we be liable to you for any lost profits, revenues, information or data, or consequential, special, indirect, exemplary, punitive or incidental damages arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The changes will not be retroactive, and the most current version of the Terms, which will always be available on the BuddyAmp community page, will govern our relationship with you. We will try to notify you of material revisions, for example via a service notification or an email to the email associated with your account. By continuing to access or use the Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
The laws of the Commonwealth of Australia, excluding its choice of law provisions, will govern these Terms and any dispute that arises between you and BuddyAmp. All disputes related to these Terms or the Services will be brought solely in the federal or state courts located in Australia, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and waive any objection as to inconvenient forum.
In the event that any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, then that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect. BuddyAmp’s failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
These Terms are an agreement between you and BuddyAmp and its parent company.
As a Store subscriber, you’ll also have access to additional tools to manage and promote your business, although some of these may incur additional fees.
BuddyAmp currently does not impose any charges for store subscription, for listing, for ordering, for placement or for advertising and promoting your individual business/store within the community. These capabilities are all provided for free. However, when you make a sale for your virtual product download, tutorial or teaching session, we will collect a 12% fee from the final selling price, net of any applied coupons.
As part of managing your transactions and collecting payments, we support Stripe and Paypal. Their privacy, terms and conditions can be accessed at Stripe and Paypal respectively. You will need an account with either or both in order to collect payments. Any GST/VAT or other income tax implications are to be managed solely by you based on the tax laws in your jurisdiction and directly through the relevant payment provider. As part of providing you transactional services, Stripe and Paypal may charge a small fee depending on your settings with them, e.g. currency conversion.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your username, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
